The Grenland Port Authority actually covers two quite different tasks during its daily operation, and these are:

  • Public administration tasks
  • Business management

The business management, which is dealt with by the Port Authority, is either based on the management of the port itself and/or based on properties and equipment under the control of this organization. This enables the Port Authority to offer the following services:

  • Quays/ Mooring points
  • Fresh water supplies, electricity connection and waste disposal.
  • Terminal services, reception and release of cargo.
  • Loading and discharging.
  • Rental of all types of forklift trucks and other terminal machinery, with drivers.
  • Rental of buildings and outdoor areas.
  • Rental of boats, with crew.
  • Fishing dock.
  • Leisure craft harbours.

Private units at the port deal with other services required for handling goods and relevant documents.
